Bhagwati Gupta (PI)
Bhagwati earned his M.Sc. from Jawaharlal Nehru University (India) in 1992 and completed his Ph.D. at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (India) in 1997, where he studied the mechanisms of olfactory sense organ formation in the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster. Following his doctoral work, he pursued post-doctoral research at the California Institute of Technology (USA). In 2004, Bhagwati joined McMaster University to establish his own lab. Over the years, he has received multiple scholarships, honors, and awards in recognition of his research contributions. Beyond the lab, Bhagwati enjoys web-based programming and is an avid stamp collector.
